Biomecânica, company that participates in Brazilian Health Devices Project, attended the 10th edition of the Medical Fair Asia, important trade fair of medical equipment and consumables that took place in Singapore between September 9th and September 11th, 2014.

This was an action of individual participation with support from the project, which gives partial funds for companies with experience in internationalization for participation in events where ABIMO does not organize a Brazilian pavilion. “The importance of this type of direct support to more experienced companies, beyond the benefits to the company itself, is precisely to strengthen the image of the national industry by a company brand, already established internationally”, clarifies Clara Porto, ABIMO’s trade promotion coordinator. ”In addition, promotes the internationalization of the entire health sector of Brazilian industry”, she says.

The event was attended by 10,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors from 35 countries. The company's results were quite impressive: in total there were 17 meetings with 11 different countries, including China, Australia, Switzerland and India.

The business expectations for the next six months are around 100 thousand Euros and 500 thousand Euros for next year.

The marketing director of Biomecânica, Ricardo Brito, was pleased with the results and aims good upcoming business. “It was a small event compared to other fairs in worldwide circuit”, he said. “Nonetheless, it provided important contacts that will be developed throughout the years 2014 and 2015.”
